KAMPALA, UGANDA – Uganda is hosting the IAAF World Cross Country Championships Kampala 2017 this Sunday 26th March 2017 at the Independence Grounds in Kololo an upscale Kampala suburb.

Uganda eyes one million tourists from China

GUANGZHOU, CHINA – Uganda’s Minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Hon. Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu, has said Uganda is targeting four million tourists by 2020 and eying one million from China.

Prof Kamuntu is heading a delegation of government and private sector players at the China Guangdong International Tourism Expo as part of promotional efforts to get at least one million tourists from the world’s largest outbound tourist nation.

UK Government gives British citizens green light to travel all around Uganda – Press release

KAMPALA, 17 October 2017 – British citizens have gotten the green light to travel to all parts of Uganda after the UK government today, Monday 17 October, put the advisory to the lowest level.

“We have reduced our travel advice to the lowest level ‘check travel advice before you go’ (green). This means we no longer have restrictions on travel to any part of Uganda”

The FC Barcelona Legends have arrived in Uganda on a campaign to promote Uganda as a preferred tourism destination. Edgar Davids was the first to arrive yesterday afternoon with the rest of the team arriving last night.

The Barcelona stars are here as part of the campaign to promote Uganda as the preferred tourism destination. Uganda Tourism Board, are the major sponsors of the trip.

The year 2015 is turning out to be a year of international awards for Uganda. Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge, an eco-friendly accommodation facility in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, won gold at the 29th International Quality Summit Convention in New York on 25 May 2015.

Museveni hosting Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu, to attend regional summit

Entebbe, Uganda – Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni is hosting Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a landmark visit on 4th July 2016 at State House in Entebbe.

This is a significant visit in many ways. On the personal level for Netanyahu and his wife Sara, it is also a private visit to commemorate the death of Yonatan Netanyahu (the prime minister’s elder brother) who was killed 40 years ago on 4th July 1976 during the raid on Entebbe to rescue hostages held by Palestine fighters.
